Medical care in Cuba has had quite a reputation since the revolution.
Unfortunately also medical aid suffered severely from the lack of devices.
Donīt count on it to be still of such high standards.
As a result of the economic boycott a serious lack of essential goods is striking
the hospitals. In spite of good intentions private aid-programs run into a swamp of
impenetrable difficulties, often of bureaucratic and political nature.
Pharmacies are to be found all over the country, I never really investigated
the nature of the supplies but understood that shortages are serious.
